II. Installation instructions
NOTE:

• The default installation path and folder were changed from V1.14. If you already installed the previous version, uninstall it first or change the installation path and folder to the same as before.
• If you are installing version 1.19b after uninstalling a previous version on Windows 2000, reboot the system after the uninstall.
• The following additional packages may be needed (if supported):

  Personalization Editor Data Diskette On Screen Display

1. Start Windows 95/98/Me or 2000. If using Windows 2000, logon with administrative privilege.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start, then click Run .
4. In the Open field, type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE to install the utility driver. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

1. Start the ThinkPad Configuration program. The main screen will be displayed.
2. On the menu bar, select Help, then click About. This will bring up the About dialog window. The version will be displayed next to Utility.
