Notes:
- This driver will now automatically extract to your hard drive. It will only extract under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT and Windows 2000.
-
You must update the following system program (BIOS) along with this display driver when you are using TV-out mode.

I. Summary of changes

-(Fix) Rundll32 error occurs when any icon on the desktop is double-clicked after setting the size of "Active Title Bar" to "14" or "15".

II. Installation instructions for Windows 98
- Start Windows 98.
- Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon. The Display Properties window will appear.
- Click theSettings tab.
- Click the Advanced button.
- Click the Adapter tab.
- Click the Change button. The Update Device Driver Wizard dialog window will appear.
- Click the Next button.
- Select the Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want and click the Next button.
- Click the Have Disk button. The Install From Disk window will appear.
- In the Copy manufacturing file's from: box, type in C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\ and click the OK button. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. The Select a device list will appears.
- Confirm NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV is selected in the Models: field and click the OK button.
- If the Update Driver Warning window appears, click the Yes button.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
- Click the Close button.
- Select color depth and resolution.
- Click the Close button in Display Properties dialog.
- Windows 98 prompts you to restart the computer to make the display driver change effective.
III. Installation instructions for Windows 95 (OSR2: OEM Service Release 2)
- Start Windows 95.
- Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double click the Display icon. The Display Properties window will appear.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Advanced Properties button. The Properties window will appear.
- Click the Adapter tab.
- Click the Change button.
- Click the Have Disk button. The Install From Disk window will appear.
- In the Copy manufacturing file's from: box, type in C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\ and click the OK button. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. The Select a device list will appears.
- Confirm NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV is selected in the Models: field and click the OK button.
- After driver files are copied, click the Close button to close the Advanced Display Properties window.
- Select your screen parameters for the Color palette, Desktop area, and Font size. Click the OK button.
- Click the Close button to close the Display Properties windows.
- Click Yes when Windows 95 prompts you to restart the computer to make the display driver change effective.
IV. Installation instructions for Windows 95 (Retail Version, Service Pack 1)
- Start Windows 95.
- Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Change Display Type button.
- Click the Change button under Adapter type field.
- Click the Have Disk button.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY and click OK. Or specify the full path you extracted in the step 2 and click OK. The video driver list appears.
- Confirm NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV is selected in the Models: field and click the OK button.
- After driver files are copied, click the Close button to close the Change Display Type window.
- Select your screen parameters from the Color palette, Desktop area, and Font size; then click OK.
- Click the Close button to close the Display Properties windows.
- Click Yes when Windows 95 prompts you to restart the computer to make the display driver change effective.
V. Installation instructions for Windows Me
- Boot Windows Me.
- Extract the drivers onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Advanced button.
- Click the Adapter tab.
- Click the Change button. The Update Device Driver Wizard dialog window will appear.
- Select the Specify the location of the driver(Advanced) then click the Next button.
- Select the Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want and click the Next button.
- Click the Have Disk button. The Install From Disk window will appear.
- In the Copy manufacturing file's from: box, type in C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\ and click the OK button. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. The Select a device list will appears.
- Confirm NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV is selected in the Models: field and click the OK button.
- If Update Driver Warning appears on the screen, click the Yes button to continue to install.
- If Version Conflict appears on the screen, click the No button to replace.
- After driver files are copied, click the Finish button.
- Click the Yes button to restart Windows Me.
VI. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows 95/98/Me.
- Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Advanced (Properties) button.
- Click the Adapter tab.
- Check version information. For example, 4.12.01.5215-Q2.15.01 stands for ver 2.15.01Q.
Windows 95 (Retail Version, Service Pack 1)
- Start Windows 95.
- Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Click the Change Display Type button.
- Check version information. For example, 4.12.01.5215-Q2.15.01 stands for ver 2.15.01Q.
