Installation instructions

Start Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/NT/XP. If using Windows NT, 2000, or XP, logon with administrative privileges.
Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
Click Start and then click Run.
For Windows 98 Gold and Windows NT 4.0, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HOTKEY\SHFOLDER.EXE in the Open field, and click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. Follow the instructions on the screen.
For all other supported operating systems, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HOTKEY\SETUP.EXE in the Open field, and click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Unattended install

Note: This is for system administrators' use only.

Start Windows 2000/XP, logon with administrative privileges.
Extract the drivers to the hard drive.
Click Start, then click Run.
Type the following command line.
C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HOTKEY\SETUP.EXE /S

Uninstallation instructions

For version 1.00.0182 and later

Start the setup.exe of this package. (For the details, refer the Installation Procedure in this document)
Select the option to Uninstall currently installed driver or ThinkPad software.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

For other versions

Click Start and then click Run.
In the open dialog box, specify the path of the setup.exe of this package, and add the option parameter /d. (For example: C:\ibmtools\drivers\hotkey\setup.exe /d)
Click OK.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

Determining which version is installed

For version 1.00.0182 and later:

Start the setup.exe of this package. (For the details, refer the Installation Procedure in this document)
Select the option to View driver or application version information.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

For other versions
1. Click Start and then click Run.
2. In the open dialog box, specify the path of this package.
3. Add the option parameter /v. (For example: C:\ibmtools\drivers\hotkey\setup.exe /v)
4. Click OK.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
