Supplement files for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP - ThinkPad A30/p, A31/p, S31, T23, T30, X22, X23, X24

This package contains following support of INTEL 82801/82830 chipset for Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP.
- To detect and configure the INTEL 82801/82830 controller
- To avoid resource conflict with IDE controller in APM mode
- To allocate resource to ThinkPad Dock correctly.
The following ThinkPad computers are supported:
- ThinkPad A30, A30p, A31, A31p
- ThinkPad s31 (supports Microsoft Windows Me/2000/XP only.)
- ThinkPad T23
- ThinkPad T30*
- ThinkPad X22, X23, x24
* Only the following T30 models support Windows Me:
2366/2367 - x1x, x2x, x3x, x4x, x5x, A6x and A7x; except for M1x, M2x, M3x, M4x and M5x |

Click here for instructions on how to transfer files greater than 1.44 MB to multiple floppies.
NOTE: If you use the product Disk-to-disk or CD recovery option that shipped with your ThinkPad system to restore the Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Me, Microsoft Windows 2000, or Microsoft Windows XP preload environment, you do not need this package. This package is required when you install a Microsoft Windows operating system without using the product recovery option.

INFINST_ENU.exe
Apply this program to enumerate INTEL 82830 and 82801 chipset correctly after installing base operating system with each supplement files.
- Close any running applications.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\SUPP\INTELINF\INFIXST_ENU.EXE to install the registry patch. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead
- At the Welcome window click Next.
- At the Software License Agreement window, if you agree, click Yes. This will start the installation process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and use the default settings to complete the setup.
IDEAPM.reg
Apply this patch to avoid resource conflict with Standard IDE HDD Controller and ultra ATA Storage controller on APM Mode.
- Click Start and then click Run
- In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\SUPP\IDE-APM\IDEAPM.REG to install the registry patch. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead
- When prompted to add the information to the registry, click Yes.
- Click OK to close the dialog window.
ICH3FIX.reg
Apply this patch to allocate resources to the devices in ThinkPad Dock correctly.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\SUPP\ICH3FIX\ICH3FIX.REG to install the registry patch. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead
- When prompted to add the information to the registry, click Yes.
- Click OK to close the dialog window.
