• (New) Malaysia PTT support.
  NOTE: This release is to support Malaysia PTT. No driver functionality change was done, the driver version number did not change at this time. If you do not need Malaysia PTT support, you do not need to update the driver.

NOTE: Click here if your ThinkPad R31 system is equipped with the integrated Wireless Ethernet to obtain the Actiontec Combo Card Modem driver for Windows Me

II. Installation instructions
NOTE: If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver.

1. Start Windows Me.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start and then click Run.
4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\MODEM\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
6. Restart the system for the driver to take effect.

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Start Windows Me.
2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Open the System icon
4. Click the Device Manager tab.
5. Expand the Modem section.
6. Select Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR and click Properties.
7. Click the Driver tab.
8. Click the Driver File Details button.
9. Highlight the file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LTSMVCD.VXD. The file has the version number embedded.
