ADI MIDI driver for Windows NT4.0 - ThinkPad A31, A31p, R40, T30, T40/p, T41, T42, T43, X30, X31, X32, X40

This package provides the MIDI Audio Synthesizer for Microsoft Windows NT4.0.
This package enables or updates the audio function of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad A31, A31p - ThinkPad R40 - ThinkPad T30, T40, T41, T42, T43(*1) - ThinkPad X30, X31, X32 - ThinkPad X40
Notes: This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. (*1) Machine Type 1871,1872,1873,1874,1875 and 1876 of ThinkPad T43 family are not supported. |

Note: Audio Features for Windows NT4.0 should be installed prior to installing this driver.
Clean install
- Start Windows and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\WSYNTHE\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click OK.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click Finish and reboot the system when prompt in order to complete the installation.
Update install
Note: Remove any previously installed driver using the uninstall step in the next section.
- Start Windows and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\WSYNTHE\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click OK.
- If the dialog box appears, select Reinstall or Update and then click Next.
- Click Finish to reboot the system and complete the installation.
Unattended install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
- Start Windows and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\WSYNTHE\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS in the Open box and click OK .
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Uninstall
- Start Windows 2000/XP and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click SoundMAX NT, then click Change/Remove or Add/Remove.
- Select Remove or OK, then click Next or OK.
- Click Finish or OK and reboot the system to fully uninstall the drivers.
- Click Start, select Find, then click Files or Folders.
- Click Name & Location.
- In the Named: field, type syncor.exe.
- In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
- Click Find Now. If the file is not found, then the driver is not installed.
- Right-click the file name found in the C:\WinNT directory. Where C:\WinNT is the drive and directory that Windows NT was installed in.
- Click Properties.
- Click Version and confirm the file version is 3.0.11.1
