PC Doctor for DOS - ThinkPad R50/e/p, R51, T40/p, T41/p, T42/p

This package provides PC Doctor for DOS ThinkPad system diagnostics.
The following systems are supported:
- ThinkPad R50, R50e, R50p
- ThinkPad R51
- ThinkPad T40, T40p
- ThinkPad T41, T41p
- ThinkPad T42, T42p
Notes:
- PC-Doctor DOS provides some benchmark tests, for example, a test to indicate how much battery power remains. Results of such tests might differ from the specifications provided in the user's guide and catalog. The results vary depending on the testing method and the testing envir onment, and Lenovo does not guarantee these results.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

Version 2.0.1381c
- (Fix) The computer freezes when "TAIWAN" is selected in the Conexant Smart Modem Dialtone test.
Click here for a complete list of changes fixed by this driver update.
Note: This procedure requires five blank high density diskettes.
- Make a temporary directory (for instance, C:\Temp) on the hard drive.
- Download all of the files to the temporary directory created in step 1.
- Insert a blank diskette in the floppy disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- In the Open dialog box, specify the file name with the full path where you stored the file in step 2. (for instance C:\Temp\filename.exe) Then press the Enter key. Follow the instructions to create each diskette.
- Repeat steps 2 through 6 until all diskettes are created, then proceed to Diagnostics procedure to test the system.
- Power off the system.
- Insert the first PC Doctor DOS diskette into the diskette drive and power on the system.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: On ThinkPad T40 and T40p systems, the Intel wireless radio test may return FAILED if the security function is enabled in the access point.
- Run PC-Doctor DOS.
- Click the Quit menu and select About to display the version number.
Note: This version information does not show minor version. For example, the version 2.0.651a shows version 2.0.651.
