PC Doctor for DOS - ThinkPad X30, X31, X32

This package provides the PC-Doctor for DOS application ThinkPad system diagnostics.

The following models are supported:
- ThinkPad X30, X31, X32

Note:
PC-Doctor DOS provides some benchmark tests, for example, a test to indicate how much battery power remains. Results of such tests might differ from the specifications provided in the user's guide and catalog. The results vary depending on the testing method and the testing environment, and Lenovo does not guarantee these results.

Summary of changes

Disk creation procedure

Note: This procedure requires three blank high density diskettes.

  1. Make a temporary directory (for instance, C:\Temp) on the hard drive.
  2. Download all of the files to the temporary directory created in step 1.
  3. Insert a blank diskette in the floppy disk drive.
  4. Click Start and then click Run.
  5. In the Open dialog box, specify the file name with the full path where you stored the file in step 2. (for instance C:\Temp\filename.exe) Then press the Enter key. Follow the instructions to create each diskette.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 6 until all diskettes are created, then proceed to Diagnostics procedure to test the system.
Diagnostics procedure
  1. Power off the system.
  2. Insert the PC-Doctor DOS #136-1 diskette into the diskette drive and power on the system.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Determining which version is installed
  1. Run PC-Doctor DOS.
  2. Click Quit menu and select About. Version Number is shown.
    Note: This version information does not show minor version. For example, the version 2.0.651a shows version 2.0.651.
Known limitations
  1. Intel Wireless Radio test may return FAILED if the security function is enabled in the access point. This limitation applies only to the ThinkPad X31.
