Access IBM online User's Guide for Windows 2000/XP - ThinkPad R40

This package provides the software support for the IBM Access ThinkPad Online User Guide.

This release supports the following IBM system:
- ThinkPad R40

Supported Operating Systems:
- Windows 98 Second Edition
- Windows 2000
- Windows 98 Gold
- Windows NT 4.0 SP6a
- Windows XP Professional
- Windows XP Home Edition

Note: This is the same software shipped with the system and does not provide enhancements or updates to the existing software.
Downloadable tools are also available for enterprise customers so that they can customize Access IBM by adding content for their company's specific needs.

Installation notes
The following step is needed to activate the "ThinkPad" button located in the upper left hand corner of the system keyboard. This button will launch the Access ThinkPad application.
Installation instructions
Install
  1. Start Windows. If using Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click the file link above to download the file from the Web page.
  3. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
  4. After the file download has completed, click Start, point to Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
  5. Type aibm-r402681-en.exe in the search box, then click Find Now. This will locate the aibm-r402681-en.exe file you just downloaded.
  6. Double-click the icon for ATP_R40 and follow the prompts on the screen to extract the files. Ensure that Save files in folder is set to C:\DRIVERS\ATP_PKG\.
  7. Once the files are extracted, click Start, then click Run.
  8. In the Open field, type C:\DRIVERS\ATP_PKG\SETUP.EXE to install the application. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
  9. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Uninstall
  1. Start Windows. If using Windows 2000 or XP, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  4. Select ThinkPad Assistant.
  5. Click the Change/Remove button.
  6. Restart the system.
