I. Summary of changes

• (Fix) Compliance support to Standard 55024-1998 & 50022-1998 prior to 7/1/01
• (Fix) Fix some power management issues.
• (Fix) Driver may not install on TP570, 570E.

II. Installation instructions

1. Start Windows 2000 and logon with administrative privileges
2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start, then click Run.
4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2 (Example: C:\DRIVERS\W2K\MODEM\SETUP.EXE), and click OK.
   
5. Follow the instructions. When the message window that says Digital Signature Not Found, click the Yes button.

III. Uninstalling the modem

1. Start Windows 2000
2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Phone and Modem Options icon.
4. Click the Modems tab.
5. Select Lucent Win Modem and click the Remove button.

IV. Determining which version is installed
To check the date and time stamp of these files do the following:

1. Start Windows 2000
2. Click Start, select Search, then click For files or folders.
3. Click the Name & Location tab.
4. In the Named: field, type each file name listed in the table.

5. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
6. Click the Find Now button. Windows will now search your hard drive for the specified file. If the file is not found, then the Modem driver is not installed on your system.
7. In the Found part of the window, select the file name located in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32.
8. Scroll the window to the right and look at the Modified column to check the date/time of the each file.
