This package provides the Fast-swap driver for Microsoft Windows Millennium (Me) users.
*The Fast-swap driver enables or updates the Fast-swap function with Windows Me ACPI mode of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad A20m/A20p/A21m/A21p/A22m/A22p/A30/A30p/A31/A31p
- ThinkPad T20/T21/T22/T23
- ThinkPad T30 models for supporting Windows Me
(2366/2367-x1x, x2x, x3x, x4x, x5x, A6x and A7x
except for M1x, M2x, M3x, M4x and M5x)
- ThinkPad X20/X21/X22/X23/X24
Note:
Cannot swap any Ultrabay 2000 device while System is in the hibernation state. |

Note:
- Microsoft Windows Millennium (Me) works with ACPI mode.
- If a previous version is already installed, uninstall it first.
- Start Windows Me.
- Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel .
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- Click Install/Uninstall tab.
- Select ThinkPad Fast-swap feature for Windows Millennium Edition from the list.
- Click the Add/Remove button.
- Follow instructions and restart Windows.
- Start Windows Me.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start and then click Run.
- Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WME\FASTSWAP
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Start Windows Me.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the ThinkPad Fast-swap device icon. If there is no icon, then the driver was not installed.
- Click About. The Version field shows the software package version.
