II. Installation instructions

1. Start Windows 98 or Windows Me.
   
2. Extract the driver onto the hard disk drive.
   
3. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
   
4. Double-click the System icon.
   
5. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
   
6. Double-click Mouse.
   
7. Double-click IBM - FlipTouch Display (UPDD).
   
8. In the IBM - FlipTouch Display (UPDD) Properties, click the Driver tab.
   
9. Click the Update Driver button. The Update Device Driver Wizard appears.
   
10. Click the Next button.
    
11. Select Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now. (Recommended).
    
12. Click the Next button.
    
13. Select Specify a location.
    
14. Click the Browse button.
    
15. Specify the directory where the driver files are extracted. Then, click the OK button.
    
16. Click the Next button. Updated files is now being copied.
    
17. Click the Finish button.
    
18. Click the Yes button to restart the computer.

Uninstall instructions

1. Start Windows 98 or Windows Me.
   
2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
   
3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
   
4. Select Universal Pointer Device Driver.
   
5. Click the Add/Remove button.
   
6. Click the Next button to uninstall the driver.
   
7. Click the Finish button to exit the uninstallation program.
   
8. Click the Yes button to restart the program.

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Click Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
   
2. Double-click the Pointer Devices icon.
   
3. Click the Settings tab.
   
4. Click the About button. The Driver program version contains the version information.
