The Intel PRO/100 SP Mobile Combo Adapter provides 10/100 Ethernet LAN and V.90 56K modem connectivity through a Mini-PCI interface to a variety of current ThinkPad systems. These solutions take advantage of the built-in RJ-45 and RJ-11 communications ports on the ThinkPad systems, enabling a cost-effective and convenient connection to the network in the office or from a remote location.

This adapter features IP Security (IPSec) encryption and decryption of data packets as they are sent and received over the LAN, helping to protect proprietary data from unintended or unauthorized access. Based on Intel Ethernet and Lucent modem technologies, this adapter offers outstanding performance and quality in an integrated, cost-effective solution.

Cable orders required

Yes. A network cable is not included with this adapter. The appropriate cabling must be used when connecting to an Ethernet network:

• UTP-3, -4, or -5 cable with an RJ-45 connector 10BASE-T networks
• UTP-5 cable with an RJ-45 connector for 100BASE-TX networks
