InterVideo WinDVD player update for Windows 2000, XP, Vista 32 and 64 - ThinkPad

The accompanying InterVideo WinDVD Player Upgrade package can update the InterVideo WinDVD Player in the ThinkPad system for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista 32 and 64.

The following systems are supported:
- ThinkPad R60, R60e, R61, R61e, R61i
- ThinkPad T60, T60p, T61
- ThinkPad X300
- ThinkPad X60, X60s, X60 Tablet
- ThinkPad X61, X61s, X61 Tablet

  • [Important] Drop to support ThinkPad G41, G50, R50e, R51, R51e, R52, T42, T42p, T43, T43p, X32, X40, X41, X41 Tablet.
  • [Important] Because this WinDVD 5 application meets the new Copy protection licence, the DVD playback screen only appears on one screen even though multidisplay environments.
  • (New) Support for Windows Vista 32-bit, 64-bit.
  • (New) Support for ThinkPad X300.

Installation instructions
Notes:
  • This driver can only be used on the supported ThinkPad systems listed above.
  • This package can not be installed without InterVideo WinDVD already installed in the system. This package is for upgrade purposes only. Not all ThinkPad systems are shipped with the DVD player software. If shipped with your system, the full version of this software can be found in the C:\ibmtools\apps directory. This only applies if you are using the preloaded software image as shipped.

Standard install
  1. Start Windows.
  2. Extract the package to your hard drive.
  3. Click Start and then click Run...
  4. Specify the SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. The default path name is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\DVD.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Unattended install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
  1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
  3. Click Start and then click Run...
  4. Type [Program Path]\setup -S -SMS and click OK, where [program path] is the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2. The default program path is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\DVD.

Determining which version is installed
  1. Click Start, select Programs, select InterVideo WinDVD, and then click InterVideo WinDVD. The DVD Panel player is launched.
  2. Right-click the DVD Panel player and then click About.
