This package provides the software support for the IBM Access ThinkPad Online User Guide.
This release supports the following IBM system:
- ThinkPad T43 (Machine Type: 2668, 2669, 2678, 2679, 2686, 2687)
- ThinkPad T43p
Note: Machine Type 1871, 1872, 1873, 1874, 1875, and 1876 of ThinkPad T43 family are not supported. If your ThinkPad is not supported, please obtain the following update.
Supported Operating Systems:
- Microsoft Windows 2000
- Microsoft Windows XP
Note: This is the same software shipped with the system and does not provide enhancements or updates to the existing software.
Downloadable tools are also available for enterprise customers so that they can customize Access IBM by adding content for their company's specific needs. |

- (Fix) Version in Access IBM is different from the one shown in ThinkPad Software Installer
- (Fix) Access IBM shows an error when the user clicks the launch button of Software Installer in Access Help
- Start Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
- Extract this package onto the hard drive.
- Click Start, and select Run...
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AIBM\SETUP.EXE, and click OK.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
In step 4 above type, C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AIBM\SETUP.EXE /s /w /v"/qn" and click OK.
- Start Windows 2000 or XP and logon with administrative privileges.
- If you are using Windows XP, click Start and click Control Panel.
If you are using Windows 2000, click Start, select Settings, and click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- Select Access IBM.
- Click the Remove button.
- Restart the system.
- Open Control Panel.
- Double-click Add or Remove Program icon.
- Select Access IBM.
- Click the Click here for support information link. You will see the version information on the screen.
