Monitor File for Windows 2000, XP - ThinkPad R51e, Z60m, Z60t

- Monitor INF of max-resolution and monitor naming.
- Windows ICM (Image Color Management file for ICC Color Profile)

Note: You can get an accurate color representation with the Windows ICM file.

I. Summary of changes
Version 2.10
  • (New) Support ThinkPad Z60t/Z60m/R51e.
    • Wide aspect LCD panel support
    • MaxBright display support

II. Installation instructions
Windows XP
  1. Extract this package to your hard drive.
  2. Right-click the desktop and select Properties from the pop up menu to open Display Properties.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Click the Advanced button.
  5. Select the Monitor tab.
  6. Select Plug and Play Monitor and click the Properties button.
  7. Select the Driver tab and click the Update Driver button, the Hardware Update wizard starts.
  8. Select No, not this time as you do not use Windows Update and click the Next button.
  9. Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click the Next button.
  10. Select Don't search, I will chose the driver to install and click the Next button.
  11. Click the Have Disk button.
  12. Click the Browse button.
  13. Change the disk directory to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MONITOR, then click Next.
  14. Select TPLCD.INF, click Open, then click OK.
  15. Check Show compatible hardware.
  16. Select the panel from the list you are currently using and click Next
  17. Click Finish, then click Close.
  18. Click the Color Management tab and click the Add button.
  19. Select TPLCD.ICM or TPFLX.ICM and click the Add button..
  20. Click the OK button and close the Display Properties.
Windows 2000
  1. Extract this package to your hard drive.
  2. Right-click the desktop and select Properties from the pop up menu to open Display Properties.
  3. Select the Settings tab.
  4. Click the Advanced button.
  5. Select the Monitor tab.
  6. Select Plug and Play Monitor and click the Properties button.
  7. Select the Driver tab and click the Update Driver button, the Hardware Update wizard starts.
  8. Click the Next button.
  9. Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver and click the Next button.
  10. Click the Have Disk button.
  11. Click the Browse button.
  12. Change the disk directory to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MONITOR, then click Open button.
  13. Select TPLCD.INF, click Open, then click OK.
  14. Select the panel from the list you are currently using and click Next button.
  15. Click Next button.
  16. Click Finish, then click Close.
  17. Click the Color Management tab and click the Add button.
  18. Select TPFLX.ICM or TPLCD.ICM and click the Add button..
  19. Click the OK button and close the Display Properties.
III. Silent Installation instructions
Windows XP

  1. Create or Add the following lines under the [Unattended] section in an Unattend.txt.
    • OemPnPDriversPath=folder for ICC Color Profile
      For example, OemPnPDriversPath=DRIVERS\OTHER
  2. Create the folder with the name of folder for ICC Color Profile.
    For example, c:\DRIVERS\OTHER
  3. Put the following files in the folder created above:
    • TPFLX.ICM
    • TPLCD.CAT
    • TPLCD.ICM
    • TPLCD.INF
Windows 2000
  1. Create or Add the following line under the [Unattended] section in an Unattend.txt
    • OemPnPDriversPath=folder for ICC Color Profile
      For example, OemPnPDriversPath=DRIVERS\OTHER
  2. Create the folder with the name of folder for ICC Color Profile.
    For example, c:\DRIVERS\OTHER
  3. Put the following files in the folder created above:
    • TPFLX.ICM
    • TPLCD.CAT
    • TPLCD.ICM
    • TPLCD.INF

     

IV. Determining which version is installed
  1. Right-click the desktop and select Properties from the pop up menu to open Display Properties.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Click the Advanced button.
  4. Select the Monitor tab.
  5. Click the Properties button.
  6. Select the Driver tab. The version number is located in Driver Version field.
