This package installs the software (Wireless WAN driver) to enable the following adapter:

- Sierra Wireless MC5720 Modem

The following systems are supported:

- ThinkPad R60, R60e
- ThinkPad T60, T60p
- ThinkPad X60, X60s, X60 Tablet
- ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61t

The following software must be updated when you install this package.
- ThinkVantage Access Connections ver. 4.12 or higher
- Hotkey Features for Windows 98/98 SE/Me/NT 4.0/2000/XP ver. 1.20.0508 or higher

To install the Wireless WAN driver, refer to the "Installation instructions" section.

Manual installation
Note: If you are running Windows 2000, you need to uninstall the previous driver if it is already installed (Not required for XP).
  1. Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
  3. Start Explorer and open the folder where the this package was extracted. For example C:\Drivers\WIN\WWANSR\Driver\SETUP. If you extracted this package to a different location, specify that location instead.
  4. Double-click \Driver\MC5720AC.msi file.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Restart the computer.

Determining which version is installed
Windows XP
  1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Performance and Maintenance.
  3. Click System.
  4. Click the Hardware tab.
  5. Click Device Manager.
  6. Double-click Sierra Wireless Modem Device.
  7. Click the Driver tab to verify the Driver Version.

Windows 2000
  1. Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click System.
  3. Click the Hardware tab.
  4. Click Device Manager.
  5. Double-click Sierra Wireless Modem Device.
  6. Click the Driver tab to verify the Driver Version.
