TrackPoint Driver for Windows Vista 32-bit, XP - ThinkPad

This package provides the software support for the PS/2 TrackPoint (TrackPoint driver) for Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit and Microsoft Windows XP.

This following systems are supported for this release:

- ThinkPad R50e, R51e, R60e, R61e, R61i (7650)
- ThinkPad T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p(*)
- ThinkPad X31, X32, X40, X41, X41 Tablet, X60, X60s, X60 Tablet, X61, X61s, X61 Tablet
- ThinkPad Z61e

Note: * TrackPoint only model is supported. Please do not install this driver to the UltraNav model.

Installation instructions
  1. Start Windows Vista, XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
    The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TRACKPT.V32
  3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
    For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2 above, and click OK.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TRACKPT.V32\SETUP.EXE
  5. When prompted, click Next.
  6. When prompted to restart your computer, click Yes, then click Finish.

Unattended Install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
  1. Start Windows Vista, XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
    The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TRACKPT.V32
  3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
    For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run..
  4. Type the following command line (A or B), and click OK.
    1. System won't reboot automatically
      EXAMPLE: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TRACKPT.V32\setup.exe -sn
    2. System will reboot automatically
      EXAMPLE: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TRACKPT.V32\setup.exe -s

Uninstall
Uninstallation is supported by "Uninstall a program" of Programs and Features in the Control Panel. You have to logon with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
