This package provides the software support for the ThinkVantage Active Protection System under the Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit platform.
This release supports the following systems: - ThinkPad R400, R500 - ThinkPad R60, R61, R61e, R61i - ThinkPad SL300, SL400, SL500 - ThinkPad T400, T400s, T500 - ThinkPad T60, T60p, T61, T61p - ThinkPad W500, W700 (*1), W700ds - ThinkPad X60, X60s, X61, X61s, X61 Tablet - ThinkPad X200, X200s, X200 Tablet, X300, X301 - ThinkPad Z61m, Z61p, Z61t

To enable ThinkVantage Active Protection System in RAID configuration, the following software are required:
- BIOS Version 1.51 or higher
- Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver Version 8.6.0.1007 or higher
- Update BIOS and Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver prior to install ThinkVantage Active Protection System if necessary.
- For more detail for each software identification and updating, refer to release notes of BIOS and Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver.
- Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
- Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HPROTECT.V64.
- Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
- Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HPROTECT.V64\SETUP.EXE
- Follow the instructions then restart the computer.
This is for system administrators' use only.
- Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
- Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HPROTECT.V64.
- Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
- Specify SETUP.EXE -s -v"/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress" with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.

- Start Windows Vista.
- Click Start, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click ThinkVantage Active Protection.
- Click Real-time Status tab on Hard Drive Active Protection System Properties. The version information will appear under "Software Version."
