Older versions of Rescue and Recovery (also known as RnR, Client Security Software, IBM Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, and Rapid Restore Ultra) are incompatible with Microsoft Windows Vista. These older versions will not work properly and may not uninstall (patch needed).

Any ThinkPad or 3000 Family notebook running Microsoft Windows Vista.
Solution
Uninstall Rescue and Recovery or Rapid Restore prior to upgrading to Windows Vista. After the upgrade is completed, install the latest version of Rescue and Recovery. If the user fails to uninstall Rescue and Recovery and upgrades to Windows Vista, there is a Patch Program available on Windows Update to fix this.
Additional information
Older versions of Rescue and Recovery or Rapid Restore (versions 4.1.0.4072 or earlier) are not compatible with Windows Vista.
