Local Manageability Service and Serial Over LAN (Intel AMT 2.6) driver for Windows Vista, XP - ThinkPad T61, T61p, X61, X61s, X61 Tablet, X300, Reserve Edition

This package installs the following Active Management Technology (AMT) Manageability Engine components.
- Local Manageability Service (LMS)
- Serial Over LAN (SOL) driver
- User Notification Service (UNS)
The following operating systems are supported:
- Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit
- Microsoft Windows XP
The following systems are supported:
- ThinkPad T61, T61p
- ThinkPad X61, X61s, X61 Tablet, X300
- ThinkPad Reserve Edition(*1)
Notes:
*1: Supports Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit only.
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
- AMT devices are hidden by default and you cannot install the AMT device drivers. If you need to enable AMT, contact your network administrator. |

- Logon to Windows Vista with administrative privileges.
- Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AMT
- For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
- Specify "LMS_SOL\SETUP.EXE" with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, and click OK.
Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AMT\LMS_SOL\SETUP.EXE
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click Finish to complete the installation and restart the system if necessary.
- Right-click one of the following files in Windows Explorer.
c:\Program Files\Intel\AMT\LMS.exe (LMS)
c:\Program Files\Intel\AMT\UNS.exe (UNS)
- Click Properties.
- For Windows Vista, click the Details tab. The file version will be displayed.
For Windows XP, click the Version tab. The file version will be displayed.
Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit:
- Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
- Click Start, then click Control Panel.
- Click System and Maintenance, then click System.
- Click Device Manager.
- Expand the Ports (COM &LPT) category.
- Double-click Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL (COMx).
- Click the Driver tab and the driver version will be displayed.
Windows XP:
- Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
- Right-click My Computer on the Desktop, then select Properties.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Expand the Ports (COM &LPT) category.
- Double-click Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL (COMx).
- Click the Driver tab and the driver version will be displayed.
