Hotkey driver for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 - Notebooks

Installation instructions

Note:
If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.

Manual Install

  1. Start Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HOTKEY
  3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories then click Run....
    For Windows XP and 2000, click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2, and click OK.
    EXAMPLE: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HOTKEY\SETUP.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Unattended install

Note: This is for system administrators' use only.

  1. Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files.
  2. At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the /S option. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\HOTKEY\SETUP.EXE /S


Uninstallation instructions

Manual Uninstall

  1. Log on with a user ID authorized as an administrator.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Programs and Features.
  4. Double-click On Screen Display.
  5. Double-click FullScreen Magnifier.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Determining which version is installed
  1. Start the Setup.exe of this package.
  2. Select View driver or application version information.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

 

Technical information
  • The command line control for Wireless switching hot key (Fn+F5) feature.
    It is available to control the wireless radio using the following command;
    C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY\TpFnF5.exe [PARAMETER]
  • The following parameters are defined;
    • /WLON, /WLOFF Turn on/off internal 802.11.
    • /BTON, /BTOFF Turn on/off internal bluetooth.
    • /WANON, /WANOFF Turn on/off internal WAN.
    • /UWBON, /UWBOFF Turn on/off internal UWB.
    • /ALLON, /ALLOFF Turn on/off any radio at once.
