Notes: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.

1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\Vista32\HDAMODEM.
3. Click Start, then click All Programs.
4. Click Accessories, then click Run...
5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\Vista32\HDAMODEM\SETUP.EXE
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
7. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.

2. Click System and Maintenance.
3. Click System.
4. Click Device Manager.
5. Click the + sign in front of the Modem category.
6. Double-click 'HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP'
7. Click the 'Driver' tab. Then you will see the Driver Version.
