This package also installs Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 2 (BACS2) which is an integrated utility that provides useful information about each network adapter that is installed in your computer. BACS2 also enables you to perform detailed tests, diagnostics, and analyses on each adapter, as well as to view and modify property values and view traffic statistics for each adapter.

If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions.

This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Click Start and then Control Panel.
3. Click System and Maintenance and then System.
4. Click Device Manager.
5. Click + of Network adapters to expand the category.
6. Right-click Broadcom NetXtreme/NetLink Fast/Gigabit Ethernet then select Update Driver Software...
7. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
8. Click Browse... and then point to the following driver location:
   • \WinVista\IA32 [Windows Vista 32-bit]
   • \WinVista\X64 [Windows Vista 64-bit]
9. Confirm Include subfolders is selected and click Next.
10. Click Close when the installation is completed.
    

1. Start Windows Vista.
2. Execute setup.exe in the following folder:
   • \BACS\IA32 [Windows Vista 32-bit]
   • \BACS\x64 [Windows Vista 64-bit]
3. Click Next.
4. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Install.
7. Click OK when the installation is completed.
8. Click Finish.
   

This is for system administrators' use only.

1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Extract the package to the hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ETHERNET.
3. Click Start, then click All Programs.
4. Click Accessories, then click Run.
5. Specify SETUP.EXE /s /v/qn with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example:
   • [Windows Vista 32-bit] C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ETHERNET\TOOLS\DRVINST\IA32\SETUP.EXE /s /v/qn
   • [Windows Vista 64-bit] C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ETHERNET\TOOLS\DRVINST\X64\SETUP.EXE /s /v/qn
6. Follow the instructions on the screen. then reboot the system.

4. Double-click Broadcom NetXtreme/NetLink Fast/Gigabit Ethernet.
5. Click Driver tab and the driver version is displayed.
