This package provides the following utility programs for DOS, Microsoft Windows, OS/2 (DOS screen), and Microsoft Windows NT (DOS screen) users:
- ThinkPad Configuration program (setup program) for DOS
- Docking Control program for DOS
This package enables or updates the utility programs of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad 365X, 365XD
- ThinkPad 380, 380D, 380E, 380ED, 380XD, 380Z
- ThinkPad 385D, 385ED, 385XD
- ThinkPad 560, 560E, 560X, 560Z
- ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760L, 760LD

I. Summary of changes

II. Installation instructions for DOS
- Start DOS.
- Type [Program Path] \UINSTALL and press Enter.
- Press Enter again.
- Select Install DOS ThinkPad Configuration at the Installation Options screen; then follow the instructions on the screen.
III. Installation instructions for DOS screen under Windows NT
- Install ThinkPad Configuration for Windows NT. Refer to the installation guide of Utility for Windows NT.
- Login to NT with a UserID of Administrator and start MS-DOS prompt from Start menu.
- Follow the same instruction as above for DOS.
IV. Installation instructions for OS/2
- Start OS/2.
- If ThinkPad Configuration for OS/2 program is not supported for your system, you need to install System Management device driver first.
a) Open the System Setup folder in the OS/2 System folder.
b) Select Device Driver Install and click the Install button.
c) Click ThinkPad System Management Device Driver. Then click OK.
- Open OS/2 prompt.
- Type [Program Path] \INSTUTD2 and press Enter.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
V. Determining which version is installed
- Open a DOS screen.
- Type PS2 ?and press Enter. The version will be displayed next to Utility for DOS on the second line.
