System Update™ helps you reduce the time, effort, and expense required to support and maintain the latest drivers, BIOS, and other applications for Think or Lenovo systems. It enables you to get the latest updates from the Lenovo support site, or to automatically schedule your system to be updated.

Note: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or later is required for ThinkVantage System Update to work properly. Microsoft .NET status:      Unable to determine * Systems with Microsoft Windows Vista already have a compatible version of the .NET Framework installed. To install the Microsoft .NET Framework: Visit Microsoft Windows Update. Click the Custom button. In the left-hand menu, under Select by Type, click Software, Optional. Click the check box next to Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0. (If this does not appear in the list, it may already be installed on your system.) Click Review and install updates. Click the Install Updates button.

• System Update can be installed on Windows 2003, however, the Lenovo Support Center does not support Windows 2003. Therefore, when a user tries to search updates from the Lenovo Support Center, System Update will return nothing but an error number 42, which means the Lenovo Support Center Center does not support the operating system.
