How do I locate Machine Type and Model information on my particular monitor or terminal? - Monitors

Note: The Machine Type (M/T), e.g. 6544-403, and Serial Number (S/N), e.g. 2323736, can be found on a tag in one of the following locations near the bezel on your monitor:
- left side - Below the bezel, on the same eye level as the control panel. For CRT monitors only.
- left side - Directly on the bottom left corner of the bezel. For Flat Panel monitors only.
- recessed bezel - On the front, directly below the bezel.

| C Series (C50/C70/etc.) |
Monitors that have the IBM logo on the bottom left of the bezel as well as the letter C followed by 2 or 3 numbers, e.g. C50 or C70 on the bottom right of the bezel. |
| Flat panel |
These monitors are easily distinguished by their flat design. |
| G Series (G40/G50/etc.) |
Monitors that have the IBM logo on the bottom left of the bezel as well as the letter G followed by 2 or 3 numbers, e.g. G40 or G50 on the bottom right of the bezel. |
| P Series (P50/P70/etc.) |
Monitors that have the IBM logo on the bottom left of the bezel as well as the letter P followed by 2 or 3 numbers, e.g. P50 or P260 on the bottom right of the bezel. |
| Terminals |
Various markings on the bezel including InfoWindow, InfoWindow II, ASCII Display. Terminals are easily identified in that there is normally a keyboard directly connected to it. |
