PC Doctor for Windows - ThinkPad 1200, 1300
Applicable countries and regions
This build is only intended for use on selected IBM ThinkPad systems running a Microsoft Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000. It contains an automated installation routine which will select the correct operating system files and language (if available) for the installed OS.

This release supports the following IBM systems:
- ThinkPad 130, type 1171-51J, 61J, 71J, 81J, BM1, VR2
- ThinkPad i Series 1200, 1300:

Additional information

This build is intended to correct an erroneous failure of the CMOS diagnostic on machines containing a Geyserville processor and utilizing the Intel SpeedStep tool. The SpeedStep incorrectly intercepted the PC Doctor diagnostic commands and caused errors to be reported, when in fact none existed.

Uninstall instructions

  1. Click Start, select Programs, select PC Doctor, then click UNINSTALL PC DOCTOR.
    NOTE
    : Depending on your operating system, the text may read PC Doctor for Windows , PC Doctor for Windows 2000 , or a similar variation.
  2. Select Automatic Uninstall, and click the Next button.
  3. Select Finish to begin uninstallation.
  4. If a warning to remove shared components appears, they may be removed if desired. Any shared components will be overwritten if PC Doctor is reinstalled or upgraded.

Installation instructions
It is recommended that any previous installations of PC Doctor for Windows be uninstalled prior to installation of PC Doctor Windows version 3.1.611.

  1. Start Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000. If using Windows NT or 2000, logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
  3. Click Start, then click Run.
  4. In the Open field, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\PCDR\SETUP.EXE, and click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
  5. Follow the installation screens, pressing Enter to accept the defaults.
  6. When the install completes, PC Doctor is ready to run. No reboot is necessary. The temporary folder may be removed if desired.
