Audio driver package IV for Windows XP - ThinkPad 1200, 1300

This package provides the audio driver for Microsoft Windows XP.
This package enables or updates the audio function of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad i Series 1200(1161 - 43*, 73*, 93*, 94*, 96*)
- ThinkPad i Series 1300(1171 - 4**, 6MU, 8MU, 9MU)
- ThinkPad i Series 1300(1171 - 5CU, 5X*, 6XU, 7XG, 8XU, 9X*) |

I. Summary of changes
Version 5.12.01.5170
- (New) Support for Windows XP
II. Installation instructions
- Start Windows XP and log on with a user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WXP\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click OK.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Restart the system for the driver to be effective.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows XP.
- Click Start, then click Control Panel.
- Click Performance and Maintenance.
- Click System.
- Click Hardware.
- Click the Device Manager button.
- Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
- Select ALi Audio Accelerator WDM driver(ALi).
- Right-click ALi Audio Accelerator WDM driver(ALi), and select Properties.
- Click the Driver tab. Then click the Driver Details button.
- Click aliadwdm.sys from the Driver files list. Check the File version.
