Symptoms corrected by the latest BIOS update - ThinkPad R30

- (Fix) After updating the BIOS to v1.39, the system may fail to recognize the actual system memory size of a certain memory card.

- (Fix) System may hang with a certain memory card.
Version 1CETE8WW (1.38)
- Corrects an issue with applications that use the Int 13 API call not getting the correct hard disk drive (HDD) information. This can occur if the Startup Boot device order in the IBM BIOS Setup Utility is changed from the first hard disk drive booting first to the second HDD booting first.
Version 1CETE7WW (1.37)
- (Fix) System freezes when Card bus card ( ex. CISCO AIR-CB20A ) is inserted.
- (Fix) Can not boot from USB FDD attached to an external USB hub.
- (Fix) PC-Doctor for DOS may return the wrong battery type.

- (Fix) When Wake on LAN (WoL) is enabled in BIOS setup, the system does not follow the "Network" boot sequence but follows the normal "Boot" sequence.
- (Fix) The floppy disk drive (FDD) icon may not appear in "My Computer".
- (Fix) The BIOS will not keep the settings of disabling network devices.
- (Fix) The USB Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical may not work when attached to the port replicator.

- (Fix) After updating the BIOS, POST 175 error appear at power on.

- (Fix) MEM command only returns 16 MB(XMS) available in a PC DOS enviroment.
- (Fix) Trackpoint is disabled after power on when docked to a port replicator and the lid closed.
- (Fix) The system does not wake up after entering standby mode without AC adaptor.
- (Fix) The system wakes up from standby even when the wake up function is disabled.
- (Fix) Secondary IDE(master) drive automatically enables PIO mode after standby/resume twice.
- (Fix) Improved POST process to prevent POST 189 error.
- (Fix) Changed default setting in BIOS setup of "Legacy Floppy Drives" to Enabled.
- (Fix) Update Intel Boot Agent to version 4.0.22.

- (Fix) The system may hang if the LID is closed or the Fn key is pressed while the system is trying to enter standby mode.
- (Fix) Abnormal display on some 13.3' LCD in Windows XP.

- (Fix) The system may hang during the unattended install of Microsoft Windows 2000 from a networked drive when using the onboard ethernet.

- (Fix) Windows Power Meter may not show the correct charging status.
