This package provides the Modem driver for Microsoft Windows 2000.
This package enables or updates the modem function of the following ThinkPad computers: - ThinkPad R31*
* If your ThinkPad R31 is the Ethernet Wireless integrated model, use the ThinkPad R31 Actiontec Combo Card Modem Driver for Windows 2000 instead of this package.
Note: This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

(New) Malaysia PTT support. NOTE: This release is to support Malaysia PTT. No driver functionality change was done, the driver version number did not change at this time. If you do not need Malaysia PTT support, you do not need to update the driver.
II. Installation instructions NOTE: If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver.
Start Windows 2000 and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
Click Start and then click Run.
Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\MODEM\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Restart the system for the driver to take effect.
III. Determining which version is installed
Start Windows 2000.
Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon.
Click the Hardware tab at the top of the System Properties window.
Click the Device Manager button.
Expand the Modem section.
Select Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR.
Right-click Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR and select Properties.
Click the Driver tab. The version number will be displayed.
