  • (New) Support for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.
  • (Fix) The system may hang intermittently during network download installation.
  • (Fix) (PC DOS) Mute the sound by pressing the mute button, but after reboot the mute is disabled.

  • (Fix) (PC DOS) MEM command only returns 16 MB available on PC DOS.

  • (Fix) When the system is shut down just after copying file using Microdrive, the system shows error message and it takes longer time to shut down the system.
  • (Fix) Garbage may appear during resume from hibernation.
  • (Fix) (Windows NT) The System hangs after resuming from timer standby, if the system enters standby mode by timer after LCD off timer is executed.
  • (New) Celeron 1.33GHz CPU (New Stepping level) support.
  • (Fix) (Windows NT) Garbage displayed on either LCD or monitor while toggling the display.
  • (Fix) The system with Embedded Security Chip may hang, if the Embedded Security Chip is disabled, CSS is installed and supervisor password is enabled.
  • (Fix) (Windows 98SE Japanese) After installing Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility, the system may hang with blue screen.
  • (Fix) If power on password or supervisor password is set, password prompt also appears at warm boot.

  • (Fix) The system hangs up at POST after enabling the serial port to (2F8, IRQ3)
  • (Fix) BIOS can not keep setting of disabling network devices.
  • (Fix) Network boot device may be enabled even if it is disabled at Boot menu in BIOS setup.
  • (Fix) If HD password is set, password prompt also appears at warm boot.
  • (Fix) MS Intelli USB Optical mouse does not work from cold boot when attached to the port replicator.

  • (New) New CPU Stepping level B1 support.
  • (Fix) (Windows XP) The system may freeze at disabling and enabling the parallel port through ThinkPad Configuration utility after changing the parallel port setting to 378/IRQ7 and EPP.

  • (Fix) After BIOS update, the system may not work.
    NOTE: This release modifies the program which installs the BIOS. There is no change to the BIOS itself. If you have already updated the system to V3.01(1FETE1WW), you do not need to apply this release.

  • (Fix) (Windows 98/Me) The display becomes black when resuming from hibernation.
  • (Fix) (Windows NT) A display device may not be changed from Intel Graphic properties.
  • (Fix) (Windows 2000) If battery pack is not in the system, unexpected Reboot or crash may occur during restoring the preload work from cold boot when attached to the port replicator.

  • (Fix) After BIOS update, the system may not work.
    NOTE: This release modifies the program which installs the BIOS. There is no change to the BIOS itself. If you have already updated the system to V3.02(1FETE2WW), you do not need to apply this release.

  • (Fix) Some garbage is displayed during hibernation resume.
  • (Fix) Wrong CPU type is shown in UMS basic system table.

  • (Fix) After BIOS update, the system may not work.

  • (Fix) PC-Doctor for DOS returns wrong battery type.

  • (Fix) High pitch noise can be heard when running Access ThinkPad or Internet Explorer.

  • (Fix) Stop Error occurs when Windows 2000 boots up, after installing some Application under the NTFS environment.

Symptom corrected by version 1FETF0WW (3.10)

  • Corrects and issue with applications that use the Int 13 API call not getting the correct hard drive (HD) information. This can occur if the Startup Boot device order in the BIOS Setup Utility is changed from the first hard drive booting first to the second HD booting first.

Symptom corrected by version 1FETF1WW (3.11)

  • Display switch Hot key (Fn+F7) may not work with WindowsXP SP2.
