Downloading the update
- Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
- When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Extracting the update
- Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
- Type 961z08us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the 961z08us.exe file you just downloaded.
- Double-click the 961z08us.exe icon.
- Click Next. Read the license agreement.
- Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
- Click Next. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\961Z08US.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
Installing the update in Windows 98SE
- Click Start, click Run.
- Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\961Z08US\Win9x\bin\HXFSetup.exe.
- Click Ok.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. Shutdown and restart your system when the installation is complete.
Installing the update in Windows Me
- Click Start, click Run.
- Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\961Z08US\WinME\bin\HXFSetup.exe.
- Click Ok.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. Shutdown and restart your system when the installation is complete.
Installing the update in Windows NT 4.0
- Click Start, click Run.
- Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\961Z08US\WinNT\bin\HXFSetup.exe.
- Click Ok.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. Shutdown and restart your system when the installation is complete.
