This package provides the video driver for Windows 98 users.
The video driver enables or updates the video function of the following ThinkPad systems - ThinkPad i Series 1400 Models: 2611 - 40x, 412, 43x (except 434 and 435), 452, 456, 47x, 49x - ThinkPad i Series 1500 Models: 2611 - 512, 552, RR8, RR9
NOTE: - Your machine type is located on the bottom of your system, just above the bar code symbol. - This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

NOTE: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard drive. It will only extract under Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows NT, and Microsoft Windows 2000.

II. Installation instructions
- Start Windows 98.
- Extract the Video driver package to the hard drive.
- Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
- Double click the DISPLAY icon.
- Click the Settings tab then click the Advanced button.
- Click the Adapter tab and then click the Change.. button.
- Press the Next button to choose second option: Display a list of all the driver in a specification location, so you can select the driver you want.
- Click Next, then press the Have Disk.. button.
- In the 'Copy manufacturer's files from:' box, type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY and click the OK button to bring up the video driver list. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
- Select the NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV video adapter and click OK.
- When the Update Device Driver Wizard appears, press Next. This start file copying process.
- At the installation complete window, click the Finish button.
- Continue choosing Close until asked to restart your system from the System Settings Change, press Yes to restart your system.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows 98.
- Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
- Double click the DISPLAY icon.
- Click the Settings tab then click the Advanced button. The version is displayed at the software version line.
E xample:
Software Version: 4.11.01.5211-Q2.06.02
In this case the version is 2.06.02Q.
