Modem ring driver II for Windows 98/Me - ThinkPad 1400, 1500 (2611)

This package provides the Modem Ring driver for Microsoft Windows 98/Me users. The Modem Ring driver enables or updates the following functions:
- When a Modem PC Card is inserted into the system, the dial tone can be enabled (heard) with the system buzzer.
- When a Modem PC Card is inserted into the system, the 'resume on incoming call' feature can be supported. (This feature is not supported by Windows 95/98 if PC Card Modem is used and this driver is not installed.)
The following systems are sup ported:
- ThinkPad i Series 1400*
- ThinkPad i Series 1500 (Models: 2611 - 512, 552, RR8, RR9)
Note:
- *Only the following Models are supported:
2611 - 40x, 412, 452, 456, 47x, 49x, (43 x's except 434, 435)
- Drivers in different languages may no t be the same version (check the following file descriptions). The English version will work in all countries, and can be substituted if the version for your language is not the same as the English version. |

II. Installation instructions
- Start Microsoft Windows 98.
- Extract the Modem Ring package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\MODEMRNG\setup.exe in the Open box and press OK.
- Click Next to continue with the setup program.
- Follow the procedure to complete the installation.
