This package provides the ESS Audio Rack program for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP.
Only the following Machine Types and Models are supported:
- ThinkPad i Series 1400-1500 type 2621-2651 all models
- This program does NOT provide the actual Audio Drivers. See link below to obtain latest Audio Drivers. |

I. Summary of changes

- (New) Support for ThinkPad i Series 1500 Type 2621-542/562/592
- (New) Add New Support model ThinkPad i Series 1400: Type 2621 - 42* (Except 422, 429), 43*, 44* (Except 442), 46*, 48* (Except 482, 486, 489), 4A*, 4B*, 4C*, RR3, RR4, RR5 ThinkPad i Series 1500: Type 2621 - 540, 541, 547, 548, 560, 567
- (Fix) AudioRack32 is minimized on task bar, and cannot be mazimized. This problem is for above newly added models.
- (New) Support for Windows XP (added)
II. Installation instructions
- Start Windows 2000/XP and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Extract the AudioRack package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\AUDRACK\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button.
- Click Next to continue with the setup program.
- Follow the procedure to complete the installation.
Unattended installation instructions
- If you prefer unattended installation, use SETUP.EXE /S command at step 4.
III. Determining which version is installed
Windows 2000
- Start Windows 2000.
- Click Start, select Programs, select AudioRack32, then click AudioRack32 to run the AudioRack32 program.
- Click the Help button to pop up a menu
- Select About AudioRack32 to show the version number.
Windows XP
- Start Windows XP.
- Click Start, select All Programs, select AudioRack32, then click AudioRack32 to run the AudioRack32 program.
- Click the Help button to pop up a menu
- Select About AudioRack32 to show the version number.
