This package provides the Command Prompt Utility program (PS2.EXE) for the following utilities, which runs in the MS-DOS Command Prompt environment under Windows NT: - Power Management - Built-in Device Configuration - Display Device Controls
This package enables or updates the Command Prompt Utility program of the following ThinkPad computer: - ThinkPad 240 - ThinkPad 240X-Z
Notice: - This version of the Command Prompt Utility is dependent upon the BIOS version. Check your BIOS version and if necessary, update the BIOS. You must have BIOS version IRET62WW or higher. See the link in the Additional Information section to obtain the latest BIOS. |

NOTE : This driver will now automatically extract to your hard drive. It will only extract under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000.

I. Summary of changes

- (New) Support for ThinkPad 240.

- (Fix) If Windows NT is installed to a directory other than the default, "C:\WINNT", the Qcifunc can not be started.
- (Fix) The PS2 command does not show a warning message when the system resources for the parallel port and infrared port are conflicting.

II. Installation instructions
This version of the Command Prompt Utility is dependent upon version IRET62WW or later of the BIOS. To obtain the latest BIOS release for the ThinkPad 240, click here .
- Start Windows NT.
- Extract this package to the hard disk.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE to install the utility driver. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
-Type PS2 ? at the command prompt, then press Enter to refer to the usage.
-Command Prompt Utility program can also be installed from a command prompt window.
-Silent installation:
Use SETUP.EXE -S command at the step 4.
