• You can now store up to 250 MB of data on a removable zip data cartridge with the ZIP 250 MB Internal drive. It can be used in combination with, or in place of, 1.44 MB diskette drives currently installed in commercial desktop computer systems.
• The Zip 250 MB Internal Drive features:
  • Industry-standard hardware for easy installation in both 5.25-inch and 3.5-inch bays
  • Storage capacity for the equivalent of over 173 1.44 MB diskettes on one Zip 250 media cartridge
  • Internal installation with connection to the IDE interface using either existing IDE cabling or the included 2-drop IDE cable
  • Fast ATAPI Zip technology enabling maximum sustained data transfer rate speeds of 2.4 MB per second
  • Read/write capability for both Zip 100 and Zip 250 MB media
  • Zip tools with valuable format, backup, copy, and organizing utilities
  • Backup, transport, consolidation, organization, and off-loading of valuable data from network or system hard disk drive
  • Power-down sleep mode to reduce unnecessary electrical power drain
• The Zip 250 MB Internal Drive can also be configured to function as the drive A: diskette drive for the system, enabling system boot-up from the drive.

Compatibility

Some configurations may not be compatible.

Limitations

Operation as a bootable drive A: is possible only when the following conditions exist:

• Host must be operating under Windows 95 OSR2, or later
• Host must be operating under Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3, or later (Microsoft Hot Fix, Art. Q154094 must be applied for operation with Service Pack 3)

Additionally, the host BIOS must include specific drive A: support for the Zip drive.
