II. Installation instructions
NOTE:
Before installing the NoteBook Manager package, run the Add/Remove Programs utility from Control Panel to remove any previous version Notebook Manager.

1. Start Windows 2000/XP and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
   
2. Extract the NoteBook Manager package onto the hard drive.
   
3. Click Start then click Run
   
4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\NBUTIL\SETUP to install the Notebook Manager utility. Click OK to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
   
5. Click the Next button to continue with the setup program.
   
6. Follow the procedure to complete the installation.

III. Determining which version is installed

Windows 2000

1. Start Windows 2000.
2. Click Start, then click Programs, select Notebook Manager, and choose Notebook Manager to bring up the Notebook Manager window.
3. Right click anywhere of the Notebook Manager window to pop up a menu.
4. Select About to show the version number.

Windows XP

1. Start Windows XP.
2. Click Start, then click All Programs, select Notebook Manager, and choose Notebook Manager to bring up the Notebook Manager window.
3. Right click anywhere of the Notebook Manager window to pop up a menu.
4. Select About to show the version number.
