This package provides the Notebook Manager for Microsoft Windows 2000 users.
This package provides the Notebook Manager function of the following ThinkPad computer:
- ThinkPad 1400
2611 - 40x, 412, 452, 456, 47x, 49x, (43x''s except 434, 435)
To determine if you have to update the Notebook Manager or not, refer to the "Summary of changes" section below.
To update the Notebook Manager, refer to the "Installation Guide" section below.

- (New) Support for ThinkPad i Series 1400/1500
II. Installation instructions
Notes: Before installing NoteBook Manager package, run "Add/Remove Programs" from Control Panel to remove the previous Notebook Manager, if any.
- Start Windows 2000. Logon with Administrator priveleges.
- Extract the NoteBook Manager package onto the hard drive.
- Click Start, then click Run....
- Type in C:\DRIVERS\W2K\NBUTIL\setup.exe in the "Open" box, then click OK button.
- Click Next to continue with the setup program.
- Follow the procedure to complete the installation.
