BIOS Update II (Diskette) - ThinkPad 1400, 1500 (2621/2651)

The BIOS Update enhances certain ThinkPad i Series systems to address operational issues, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
Only the following Machine Types and Models are supported: - ThinkPad i Series 1400: 2621 - 422, 429, 442, 482, 483, 486, 489, 49x, 4Ex, 4Fx, 4Gx
- ThinkPad i Series 1500: 2651 - 542, 549, 54G, 562, 569, 56G, 592, 5FF
NOTE: - Your machine type is located on the bottom of your system, just above the bar code symbol. - This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

I. Summary of changes
version 127 - R01-A6E
- (Fix) It takes approxmately 20 seconds to switch from the LCD to the external CRT by pressing Fn+ F7 key.

II. Installation instructions
NOTES:
- You need an AC adapter and a charged battery pack to update the system program.
- Make sure the BIOS diskette is write protected.
- Print these instructions or display them on another computer.
- Firmly connect the AC adapter to the computer.
- Insert the System Program Service Diskette into the diskette drive and turn on the computer.
- When prompted press the '1' key to update the system program.
Warning : Do not turn off the computer until the update has been completed. IF YOU TURN OFF THE COMPUTER WHILE THE UPDATE IS STILL IN PROGRESS, THE SYSTEM BOARD MAY HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

The BIOS Version can be viewed by selecting System Information in the BIOS Utility menu:
- Power on the system.
- When the message Press F1 for IBM BIOS setup Utility appears at the bottom right hand corner, press the F1 key. Wait for the BIOS Utility screen to appears.
- Wait for the BIOS Utility screen to appears.
- Select System Information.
- BIOS version is displayed at System BIOS Version line.
