Configuration utility for Windows 95 - ThinkPad 240/X/Z

This package provides the ThinkPad Configuration program for Microsoft Windows 95 users. The Configuration program allows you to set up and customize the computer''s built-in devices on the ThinkPad 240-X-Z.
Previously, there was only one Configuration Utility for Windows 95-98 and 2000. In order to use that Utility program under Windows 95, you had to install Internet Explorer (IE) version 4.0 or higher, to provide ActiveX support.
Now, with this release of the Configuration Utility for Windows 95, you no longer need to have IE installed in order to use the Configuration Utility.
This means there are now two versions of the Configuration Utility available for Windows 95 users. Only one of them can be installed based on your system configuration:
- There is a ActiveX Configuration Utility program for Windows 95-98-2000 requiring Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher.
- Or a non-ActiveX Configuration Utility program for Windows 95 which does NOT require Internet Explorer. |

NOTES: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard drive. It will only extract under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000.
Windows 95 user's with Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher installed, can click here to go to the Web page for the ActiveX version of the Configuration Utility. There are no functional differences between this version and the ActiveX version.
For the 240Z the On Screen Display program must be installed with it's own setup program. To download the latest version of the On Screen Display program, click here.

I. Summary of changes

II. Installation instructions
- Start Windows 95.
- Extract this package to the hard disk.
- Click Start, then clck Run.
- In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\W95\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE and click OK. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows 95.
- Click Start, select Find, then click Files or Folders.
- Click the Name & Location tab.
- Type in TPW95.EXE in the Named field. And select My Computer in the Look in field.
- Click Find Now. The computer will find out the file in your system. If the file is not found, the program is not installed on your system.
- Double-click the found file.
- Click Help in the menu bar and click About. The version will be displayed.
