These options are both based on the new standard for mobile computer PCI interface called Mini PCI. Both options are multifunction 10/100 Ethernet and V.90 56K analog modems. These solutions take advantage of the built-in RJ-45 and RJ-11 communication ports on the new ThinkPad T, A, and X series providing the ultimate in mobile communication performance and system manageability. Customers can select the technology that best meets their networking and communication needs or corporate standards --- either Intel based technology (EtherJet brand part number 08K3124) or 3Com based technology ( part number 09N9774).

The new Mini PCI solutions provides "desktop like" performance and manageability in a mobile PCI form factor. The following highlights some of the key product attributes for both Mini PCI offerings:
