This document contains instructions for removing and installing the modem card on the A20 or A21 series laptop.

NOTE: Remove battery before removing card.

Removing the modem

1. Loosen screw, but do not remove
2. Lift the door and remove.
3. Remove the shield.
4. Pry the latches gently away from the card. The modem should pop up.
5. Remove cables from modem. Depending on the type of card installed, there may be one or two cables. If the system has the modem only option then there will be one cable. If the system has the modem/ethernet combo card installed then there will be two cables.
6. Remove card from slot.

To install the modem, reverse the procedure.
