This package provides the audio driver for Windows 98-Me users.
The audio driver enables or updates the audio function of the following ThinkPad system:
- ThinkPad 240X-Z

NOTE: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard disk drive. It will only extract under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, and Windows 2000.

I. Summary of changes

II. Installation instructions
Windows 98
- Start Windows 98.
- Extract this package to the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double click Add New Hardware.
- Click Next, then click Next, then click Next.
- Select Search for the best driver for your device.
- Click Next.
- Specify the location with full path you extracted the files to in step 2 and click Next.
- The updated driver will be found, then click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Select Yes, I am finished installing devices, then click Next.
- Click Finish, and restart the system. The new setting will take effect after reboot.
Windows Me
- Start Windows Me.
- Extract this package to the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double click the System icon.
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Double-click PCI Multimedia Audio Device.
- Click Reinstall Driver in PCI Multimedia Audio Device Properties.
- Click Specify the location of the driver (Advanced), and click Next.
- Select Search for a better driver... and check Specify a location.
- Input the directory where the driver files are extracted in step 2 and click Next.
- The updated driver will be found, then click Next.
- When the installation completes, click Finish.
.III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows 98/Me.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double click the System icon.
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Double click the Sound, video and game controller section.
- Double click Crystal SoundFusion(tm) CS4281 WDM Audio.
- Click the Driver tab.
- Click the Driver File Details button. The version is displayed in the software version line.
