This package installs an update to the Microsoft Windows 2000 device driver for the Conexant Winmodem that comes preinstalled in your IBM computer. This update requires approximately 1.5 MB of space on your hard disk (drive C).

This also means that IBM will not provide support for device drivers for any operating system which was not included in the preloaded software. Downloading the update
Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.
Installing the update
Select Start -> Find -> Files and folders.
Type qq5z06us.exe in the search box.
Click Find Now. This will locate the qq5z06us.exe file you just downloaded.
Double-click the icon for qq5z06us.exe. The default folder setting should remain C:\DRIVERS\QQ5Z06US.
Run the WIN2KSETUP.EXE program in the C:\DRIVERS\QQ5Z06US folder.
Follow the on-screen prompts to install the device driver.
Shut down and restart your computer so that the changes take effect.
