This package provides the modem driver for Microsoft Windows 2000. This package enables or updates the modem function of the following ThinkPad computer:
- ThinkPad i Series 1200 Machine type 1161 - 21x, 23x, 25x, 26x, 45N, 65N, RR5, RR6, RR7, RR8, WPM - ThinkPad i Series 1300 Machine type 1171 - 310, 320, 330, 337, 33F, 340, 370, 377, 37F, NMU, RRA, RR6, RR7, RR8, RR9, VC1, VC2 - ThinkPad 130 Machine type 1171 - 334, 335, 374, 375
NOTES: - If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver. - Your machine type is located on the bottom of your system, just above the bar code symbol. - This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

NOTE: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard disk drive. It will only extract under Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows NT, and Microsoft Windows 2000.

I. Summary of changes

- (Fix) The system hangs up after suspend when receive fax is enabled.
II. Installation instructions
NOTE: If the audio driver has not been installed on the system, install the audio driver prior to the modem driver.
- Start Windows 2000 and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\MODEM\LTSETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Restart the system for the driver to take effect.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows 2000.
- Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon.
- Click the Hardware tab at the top of the System Properties window.
- Click Device Manager button.
- Expand the Modem section.
- Select Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR .
- Right-click Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR and select Properties .
- Click the Driver tab.
- Then it will show the version number.
