Downloading the update

1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file.

Installing the update

1. Click Start, highlight Find, then click Files and folders.
2. Type qi9z16us.exe in the search box, then click Find Now. This will locate the qi9z16us.exe file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the icon for qi9z16us.exe.
4. Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6. Click Next.
7. Ensure that Save files in folder is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\QI9Z16US.
8. Click Next.
9. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.

NOTE: The installation splash screen will indicate that version 1.01.009 is being installed. This is incorrect.

Identifying the software version

1. Click Start, highlight Settings, then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. Click the Device Manager tab.
4. Click System devices.
5. Click Intel(R) 82802 Firmware Hub Device.
6. Click Properties.
7. Click the Driver tab.
8. Click the Driver File Details button. The entry for File Version should be "1.0.1.13".
