This package provides the audio driver for Microsoft Windows 95/98 users.
The audio driver enables or updates the audio function of the following ThinkPad computer: - ThinkPad X20, X21

I. Summary of changes
version 5.018
- (New) Support for DirectX 7.
- (New) Support for ThinkPad X20.
- (New) Support for ThinkPad X21 (added).
II. Installation instructions
NOTES:
- To determine if you should update the audio driver, refer to the Summary of Changes section.
- If installing to Microsoft Windows 95, confirm DirectX 5.0 or later is installed.
- Start Windows 95/98.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, then click Run.
- Specify the installation program SETUP.EXE with full path you extracted in the step 2 and click OK.
- Click Uninstall Crystal Driver button at the pop-up window, and then select Shut Down.
- Restart Windows 95/98.
- When Windows 95/98 detects New Hardware, click Next. It will then detect Crystal CS4281 PCI Audio. Click Next.
- Specify the location of the Disk by the path name in the step 2 and click Next.
If you are asked, specify the location of the Disk in Copy files from: list and click OK. The file copy starts.
- After the installation of Crystal CS4281 PCI Audio, click Finish. The system will detect New Hardware.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon.
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Click the Sound, video and game controller section.
- Select Crystal CS4281 PCI Audio and click the Properties button.
- Click the Driver tab.
- Click the Driver File Details button.
- Find and click CWRMMSYS.DRV.
- File version column shows the driver version. For example, File version: 4.12.5018
