II. Installation instructions
If you have newly installed Windows Me on the system, follow the procedure indicated as Clean Installation. Otherwise, follow the procedure indicated as Update Installation.

- Update Installation -

1. Start Windows Me.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
4. Double-click the System icon.
5. Click the Device Manager tab at the top of the System Properties window.
6. Double-click Display adapters in the list.
7. Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
8. Click Properties.
9. Click the Driver tab at the top of the Silicon Motion LynxEM+ window.
10. Click Update Driver.
11. Click Specify the location of the driver(Advanced).
12. Click Next.
13. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want.
14. Click Next.
15. Click Have Disk.
16. Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\DISPLAY.
17. Click OK.
18. Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
19. Click OK.
20. Click Next.
21. Click Finish.
22. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.

- Clean Installation -

1. Start Windows Me.
2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
4. Double-click the System icon.
5. Click the Device Manager tab at the top of the System Properties window.
6. Double-click Display adapters in the list.
7. Click Standard PCI Graphics Adapter(VGA).
8. Click Properties.
9. Click the Driver tab at the top of the Standard PCI Graphics Adapter(VGA) window.
10. Click Update Driver.
11. Click Specify the location of the driver(Advanced).
12. Click Next.
13. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want.
14. Click Next.
15. Click Have Disk.
16. Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\DISPLAY.
17. Click OK.
18. Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
19. Click OK.
20. Click Next.
21. Click Finish.
22. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.

III. Determining which version is installed

1. Start Windows Me.
2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Open the Display icon.
4. Click Settings.
5. Click Advanced.
6. Click the Adapter tab, and then it will show the version number.
