Video driver II (SMI Lynx) for Windows Me - ThinkPad 1200, 1300

This package provides the display driver for Windows Me users. This package enables or updates the display function of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad i Series 1200 Machine Type 1161 - 11x, 41x, 46N, 51x, 56N, 61x, 66N, 71x, 91x - ThinkPad i Series 1300 Machine Type 1171 - 2AU, 21U, 61F, 61G, 61M, 61U, 71U, 81G, 81M, 91F, 91U - ThinkPad 130 1171 - 51J, 61J, 71J, 81J
This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. |

II. Installation instructions
If you have newly installed Windows Me on the system, follow the procedure indicated as Clean Installation. Otherwise, follow the procedure indicated as Update Installation.
- Update Installation -
- Start Windows Me.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon.
- Click the Device Manager tab at the top of the System Properties window.
- Double-click Display adapters in the list.
- Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab at the top of the Silicon Motion LynxEM+ window.
- Click Update Driver.
- Click Specify the location of the driver(Advanced).
- Click Next.
- Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want.
- Click Next.
- Click Have Disk.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\DISPLAY.
- Click OK.
- Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
- Click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Restart the system for the driver to be effective.
- Clean Installation -
- Start Windows Me.
- Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon.
- Click the Device Manager tab at the top of the System Properties window.
- Double-click Display adapters in the list.
- Click Standard PCI Graphics Adapter(VGA).
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab at the top of the Standard PCI Graphics Adapter(VGA) window.
- Click Update Driver.
- Click Specify the location of the driver(Advanced).
- Click Next.
- Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want.
- Click Next.
- Click Have Disk.
- Type C:\DRIVERS\WME\DISPLAY.
- Click OK.
- Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
- Click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Restart the system for the driver to be effective.
III. Determining which version is installed
- Start Windows Me.
- Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Open the Display icon.
- Click Settings.
- Click Advanced.
- Click the Adapter tab, and then it will show the version number.
